At the Cottage Group, our goal is to offer value-driven service while striving to achieve high quality in all aspects of construction. We have developed a step-by-step process for a homebuilding experience that is enjoyable, on time and within budget:

Step 1: Lot Development and Site Design

Our services include a lot evaluation for proper orientation, erosion control, and low-impact site development that protect mature trees and help preserve the natural aesthetics of the landscape.

Step 2: House Plan Selection

We offer a diverse collection of house plans that includes our own Cottage Group portfolio along with some of the most popular Southern Living house plans ranging from 2,000 square feet to 3,500 square feet. We also have floor plans from Architect, Frank Bain, owner of Anthemion Architecture, LLC as well as plans from Architect, Tom Felton of Studio 511. Our floor plans are flexible, allowing for modifications that will make yours a unique, custom home that reflects where you live and the way you live.

Step 3: Selections Package

Our design team has hand crafted exterior/interior finish packages for our clients to select from to complete the look of their home. These packages range in style from modern to traditional, with an option to customize based on client wishes.

Step 4: Construction and Project Management

Construction management begins with budgeting and project scheduling. Our customer advocate assists with selections, budgeting and quality control, and serves as your liaison with specialty contractors in the field. Our implementation procedures include on-site management, direct involvement from the builder, and quality control procedures.

Step 5: Post Construction

Our post construction procedures include 30- and 90-day checkups, an 11-month final inspection, and punch-list management.
